Azalea Ruano Evans
Meet Azalea Evans, a classically trained violinist with a passion for music that has taken her to perform with some of the most renowned orchestras in El Salvador. With over a decade of experience playing in orchestras and teaching both private and group lessons, Azalea has established herself as a versatile musician and educator.
As a former head professor of violin at the Ancalmo International Foundation School of Music, Azalea has imparted her knowledge and passion for music to countless students, helping them develop their own musical abilities. Her love for chamber music led her to found and serve as the concertmaster for several chamber orchestras, including the Chamber Orchestra of Ancalmo International Foundation, Camerata of Women Amanecer, and the String Orchestra of the University Dr. José Matías Delgado.
At just 11 years old, Azalea made her debut as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra and Youth Symphony Orchestra, showcasing her exceptional musical abilities.
Azalea has been selected to participate in several prestigious concerts, including the "Young Soloists" Concert of the National Symphony of El Salvador and a Soloist performance for the El Salvador Congress, in the Act of Recognition for the National Symphony. Azalea has also won first place in a talent television show.
Azalea is known for her exceptional performances in both popular and classical concerts, ranging from operas, symphonic jazz, boleros, and even rock music. Azalea has also been recognized for her talents, receiving the "Unique Award" from the Dr. José Matías Delgado University.
In addition to her performances in El Salvador, Azalea also had the opportunity to tour the United States, including a Christmas concert tour in Virginia, Washington D.C, and Maryland with the Christian Symphony Orchestra of El Salvador. She has also performed in several memorable events, including the 25th anniversary of the Peace Agreements in San Salvador.
Azalea has also had the opportunity to participate in numerous festivals, including the Central American Youth Orchestra (OJCA).
In addition to her work in classical music, Azalea has also made a significant impact in promoting music education and access to music for young people. As a founder member and concertmaster of the Christian Symphony Orchestra of El Salvador and as a violin teacher in social projects for the Youth Symphony Orchestra of El Salvador, Azalea has dedicated much of her time to inspiring and empowering future generations of musicians.
Currently, Azalea is balancing her work as a Marketing Manager at Gatorland Toyota and BMW of Gainesville with her continued involvement in music, providing private lessons and performing in local concerts. With her classical training, experience in orchestral works, and passion for teaching, Azalea is a versatile and dedicated violinist who continues to make a positive impact in the world of music.
