Nolan Koskela-Staples

Nolan Koskela-Staples is a bassist and multi-instrumentalist with over 15 years of experience performing in various ensembles, over 5 years of private teaching experience, and 5 years of leading rehearsals, conducting ensembles, and writing arrangements. Nolan received a B.A. in Music in 2014, and since then he has enjoyed freelance work as a bassist. Nolan has taught private lessons for bass (upright and electric), cello, guitar, ukulele, piano, theory, and arranging/composition. He is a versatile player and a good sight-reader, and he loves connecting with people through music. Since moving to Gainesville from Oregon in 2018, Nolan has been active in the local jazz scene. He also performs regularly with the Gainesville Orchestra and other various ensembles.
